WHO WE ARE
E.AVICO, Inc. (or just “Avico”) is a California-licensed general contractor that has worked on projects across Southern California and the world for over thirty years. Avico’s portfolio consists of experience with both private and public sectors, including commercial and residential structures, specializing in structural steel buildings. Completed projects span the spectrum of medical, industrial and retail facilities, and homes, and the company’s client base has encompassed homeowners, developers, end users, investors, and governmental bodies. In addition to construction management services, Avico can provide structural engineering analyses upon request.
Avico is unique in being especially client-focused:
accommodating and non-confrontational, promoting a smooth and efficient, timely and orderly process, for both private and public workflows. Avico performs thirty to fifty percent of all work with its own forces. The result is a direct control that enables Avico to be cost-effective while maintaining quality workmanship within specified completion, cost, and administrative constraints. The company is flexibly able to work on a bid, negotiated, or design-build basis.
The founding principals, Avi and Roya Arshadnia, worked for Golden Ross
Construction, until 1987 when they founded E.Avico, Inc. bringing them the successful traditions, projects, and satisfied clients of Golden Ross.
Personnel
President
ROYA ARSHADNIA
Upon receipt of her license, Mrs. Arshadnia made Avico a construction company so she could provide clients with quality, timely, cost-effective construction.
Mrs. Arshadnia handles functional responsibilities and long-range planning for the firm. In addition, she oversees the operations, finance, administration, marketing and, construction activities.
In the twelve years preceding the conversion of Avico, Mrs. Arshadnia worked with Golden Ross Construction and Avico Construction Management Company. In that period, her responsibilities grew from office administration to include active roles in estimating, bidding, contracting, and construction management.
She was educated in business and economics at the University of Tehran and has taken various business courses since.
Vice President
AVI ARSHADNIA
Mr. Arshadnia is responsible for the construction operations of Avico. His duties include tactical planning and the day-to-day operation of the construction department. More specifically, he handles project supervision/management, inspection coordination, sub-contractor relations, construction personnel recruitment, and training, along with all company safety programs.
Immediately prior to joining Avico, Mr. Arshadnia successfully operated Golden Ross Construction, which he founded in 1980. That company built industrial, office, retail, residential and mixed use projects throughout Southern California... mostly for a following of satisfied repeat clients.
Mr. Arshadnia began his construction career overseas where imported materials, such as steel, are very costly and great emphasis is placed on the use of concrete, a domestic product, in construction. Selected for his academic accomplishments, he joined a university/governmental agency immediately after graduation with his structural engineering degree.
While with the agency, all his energies were devoted to concrete technology and he became an expert in the construction and quality control of concrete structures. These structures included housing units and commercial buildings, along with government/military structures and facilities. Many of these buildings were underground or involved in underground elements. They ranged in size from a few hundred to several hundred thousand square feet.
His concrete background in shoring and formwork, re-bar steel, placement, and finishing, along with engineering and architectural design makes him a valued ally on a design team or as an independent contractor. His input can help reduce construction costs.
Mr. Arshadnia earned a Structural Engineering Degree from the University of Haifa and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from George Washington University.
Philosophy
Avico believes the quality of completed projects, combined with a cooperative attitude, provides the best and greatest competitive advantage. Avico has learned that growth is achieved by gaining recurring clients, referrals, and solid references.
